Welcome back from an extra long weekend. I hope that everyone is well rested and ready to get back down to business. We have a lot to cover in the short time left.
This week in Learning:

FLA: we will begin something called "Tour a Tour, which is guided reading for better comprehension. Students become the teachers and take turns helping others understand their readings. I have corrected all fictional stories that were handed in. I have no doubt that students will do fine in the PAT's in this area. I am encouraged. Continue working on the poems for the Gala.

ELA: Shadows assignments were due before the break. Today we will begin newspaper articles and making newspapers as a group. This is to practice for the functional writing portion of the PAT's as well as having fun writing about our lives at St Luke.

MATH: we will be finishing our unit on probability and questionnaires in the next few weeks. Today we look at how to properly make a graph using our information that we gathered.

SCIENCE: goodbye Air and Aerodynamics, hello Forests and Trees, our last unit in Science.

SOCIAL: test on Provincial government tomorrow. After that we go onto the Federal government and how to make Canada a better place to live.

RELIGION: we continue with the Easter Season.

ART: the element of Space in the sketchbooks will be due May 6th. We are still working on cubist portraits.
