This week in Learning:

MATH continue with patterns and moving onto algebra whereby the entry number becomes a variable. Please sign module 2 tests and return asap.

SCIENCE: we have completed the unti and the test will be next week. A study guide is on GC.

SOCIAL: we look more closely at the charter of rights and freedoms. 

FLA: we will complete GB+ this week and move onto something else next week.

ELA: finish Vermeer. How to write a news article.

I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving with family. 

 This week in learning:

MATH: we begin unit one which looks at patterns and it is the beginning of algebra. TEST on Thursday for unit 2.

SCI: today we looked at handwriting analysis and next up will be fingerprints.

ES: still a few students to write the test before they go home for signature. We will begin chapter 2 this week...how does democracy really work?

FLA: we continue with GB+ evaluations (of which I have done none to date...UGH)

ELA: we will hopefully finish the novel this week and work on news articles beginning next week. There will be a quiz on figures of speech this week. Review your notes.

ART: one point perspective 

Religion: we know God through reason and faith

REMINDER this week: the school nurse is coming to teach the students about vaccines on Oct 6th before they receive their HPV and Hep B vaccines.


FOOD drive for St Luke's Feed the hungry. Please send non-perishables this week. 


This week in learning:

MATH: order of operations con't and we look at whole numbers, whether positive or negative. We are almost done this unit so a test will be forthcoming next week.

SC: chromatographie and fiber samples

ES: we had the speeches today and students were very attentive and asked some great questions. We vote this afternoon and results will be given tomorrow. Current events continue. TEST Friday the 7th on intro and chapter 1.

FLA: we begin guided reading groups. This is to improve students' reading levels. While they work in groups, I am able to evaluate their levels.

ELA: continue Vermeer. We will read to chapter 16 by the end of this week.

Religion: have you found your rock? Now you need to practice Trudy's Rock story to be a knowledge keeper. You will share the story with your copain this week.

ART: Onomatopee due next Tuesday Oct 11. Sketchbooks due Oct 17th
