This week in learning:

Francais: We are finishing up our comic books of Franklin. Students are working diligently. At the end, there will be a quiz on the vocabulary. We are also reviewing verbs...this week: present tense of "ir" verbs. Students should know the endings of present tense "er" verbs.

Science: We have just completed our finger printing experiment and will be looking more closely at what makes them different.

ELA: Still reading "Chasing Vermeer" and working on figures of speech.

Social Studies: Signed tests should be in by this Wednesday. We are now looking at individual rights vs collective rights and why first Nations, French and English get special rights.

Religion/Leadership: We are starting a "We Scare Hunger" Campaign. Students will be visiting classrooms and making announcements on the intercom to get everyone to donate food to St Luke Feed the Hungry. We will also be writing letters to Pope Francis about what MERCY looks like. Mme Wozny will select two from our school to go to Pope Francis.

Thanksgiving celebration Thursday @ 1pm.

MATH: writing a test as I write this! We will then be reviewing order of operations to complete math equations. For those who need a refresher course: parentheses first, then multiplication, division, addition, subtraction [from left to right, whichever appears first].

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you and your families!
