Some announcements:

For Feed the hungry, our Christmas social justice project, the grade 6 class is responsible for bringing salad dressing. Please bring your bottles to the classroom asap to help those less fortunate.

Still hoping to get some yarn leftovers for a Christmas craft.

Math tests will be going home for signatures this week.

M. Degagne has set out clear due dates for your assignments before my return.

The next Math unit is decimals and the text has been placed on GC for absences and homework.

Hamper Donation

The grade 6 students are asked if they can please bring a bottle of salad dressing for the Christmas hamper.

I know it feels like forever but we are getting closer to Mme returning.

A few things to think about:

  • Christmas Open House. I have some games and some activities for you but I want your input as well. If you have any ideas, please email me.
  • If there are any knitters out there that have leftover yarn (any color) that you will no longer be using, I would love for  you to send it to school for a Christmas activity. Merci in advance.
  • Start bringing in materials to build your FOOD truck. Some people can begin that while others finish the slideshow.
  • Get your assignments done, because after Christmas, progress reports are due. I do not want to be chasing you for those things that should already be done.
  • How clean and organized are your desks? I will be checking as soon as I return!
  • Stay healthy

November 21-30, 2022

As there seems to be many things happening in the next 2 weeks I would like to give an idea of what’s going on.

In the last few weeks absences have been high and the students missing haven’t been the same so this week I am doing review, catch-up, and finally trying to give unit tests for two different subjects. I am listing the work that we are doing as well as the date. Mme Colette has given them clear expectations and now they will be assessed on their knowledge.

The students have been working on most of this for up to 6 weeks.

It will be more difficult for me to know what is going on daily in class with the increasing number of students absent. Your best bet is to ask fellow students, keep up with your reading (FR and ENG) and to review all material. The social text has been shared on DRIVE so try there. La semaine prochaine, il y aura un test de Math, Module 1 et un test d'Études Sociales chapitre 2. Vous devriez avoir vos fiches et notes pour commencer à étudier.

  • With Halloween over, please do not bring candy for snacks. Snacks should be healthy and help the brain to function. Candy puts kids to sleep. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Tomorrow is your Wellness day and should prove to be very informative. You will be responsible for putting together a Tri-fold for PT interviews.
