This week in Learning:

Social: information regarding Wards is due this Thursday. Students to send it to me via email.
Today we looked at how local governments are elected and how citizens can become engaged. I anticipate finishing this unit soon and having the test on March 21st before break.

Science: We are working on some research and today students randomly picked either a bird or an insect to depict on a poster how they fly. This will be due next week as well.  We are also learning about the four forces of flight: drag (trainée), lift (portance), thrust (poussée) and weight (poids).

MATH: moving onto the polygones and area.

ELA: continuing Shadows

FLA: learning a new poem. As well, I want students to have their poem chosen for the Gala Oratoire by this Thursday. In the next blog, I have chosen three that they can use, or they can find one on their own.

RELIGION: Lentopoly continues, as does our preparation for Easter. Did you know that the church changes the color of the cloths and robes to purple during Lent?

ART: still working on our grid pictures. Sketchbooks with texture due April 1st.
