Time she is a ticking!!!

This week in learning:
FLA: we are alternating between Hockey lecture and Mini Prof to help students with their reading comprehension. So far, so good. Everyone is engaged and we are learning lots of vocabulary.

ELA: projects for Shadows due this week and a test on the novel Wednesday May 31st.

MATH: test on Module 7 this Friday. We are beginning transformations tomorrow, which is a super short unit.

Science: We are well into trees and forests. The notes are on their learn accounts for further reading.

Social: Finishing Federal Govnt. this week with a look at "La Grande Paix de Montreal", consensus and respect and test next week.

Religion: finishing the Easter Season, as well as our unit on internet safety.

I sent an email home with all of the information about the Farewell. Please have a close look at it and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I will need one or two parents to come in and trace the silhouettes of the students' heads for part of our decor. If you are able to do so, please let me know asap.

PLEASE READ THIS:
With the heat of summer upon us and the fact that students like to run aroound at recess, it is IMPERATIVE that they have deoderant to put on at any time during the day. The stench that emmanated from them today as a class was almost unbearable. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE SAVE YOUR TEACHER!Image result for stinky kid

To end on a happy note:
The students did a marvelous job at the lip sync last week; from the committee (Catherine, Julien B, Natalie and Gianluca) for setting up and emceeing, to the council (Jack, Julien N and Grace) for tallying and writing out the rubrics; to the competitors (Maya, Catherine, Naamah, Summer and Leala) to the entire class for their final performance (they made 4 teachers cry and everyone commented on their outstanding performance). Volunteers will have a repeat at the tea and all parents will get to be amazed at the Farewell.
