Welcome Back!

I hope that your break and your Easter was a time of rest and reflection.

This week in Learning:

MATH: we will continue with geometry and move onto polygons.

SCIENCE: Air and aerodynamics tests go home today for signatures. We move onto Trees and Forests and how we can best treat them and care for them.

FLA: we will continue in poetry, having fun with words and putting them together.

ELA: we will begin a new novel study today. It is a historical fiction and the author lives right here in Calgary. Nightly reading and comprehension questions will be required.

Religion: Did you know that Easter is not over yet? There are a few more weeks until we return to ordinary time. Today we look at Good Friday and Easter Sunday and symbols to represent them.

ART: agrandissement is due tomorrow. Next we move to optical illusions.

Also of interest:

Shane had mentioned in his Student council election speech that he wanted to raise money in exchange for shaving his head. Well...he is ready. For those interested, here is his webpage for donations. He has surpassed his goal, but if you are interested here is the link: Looking forward to seeing those blue eyes again!
