This week in Learning:
I, for one, am appreciative of the warmer weather and the sunshine!
Math: continuing with Fractions and ordering them biggest to smallest (vice versa) or placing them on a number line to compare them. If students follow step be step, they should not have problems.
ELA: finishing our poetry unit this week. All students should have a poem to recite...that means memorizing this week. Today we look at creative poems.
FLA: we are moving onto chapter 4 of the novel. Letters should be done so they are not forgotten about when handing in the whole assignment.
RELIGION: we are into the season of LENT. I play a game called Lentopoly, which helps students come closer to God by doing acts of kindness. You may see your child doing extra prayers or kindness chores around the house.
SCIENCE: we are almost done with the AIR part of our unit and will move onto aerodynamics and flight. This week we look at the Bernouilli principle.
We raised 232$ from the sale of our lollipops. A BIG thank you to our class council for their initiative
Also this week:
Wednesday: Anti-bullying presentation by Calgary Hitmen @ 9am. Wear pink that day
Thursday: crazy hair day and pizza day
Here is our mural made by the 2 grade 3 classes and the 5/6 and 6 classes on Black History month.

Welcome back from a Long weekend.
This week:
FLA: continue to read "Les crayons qui trichent". Students will also be working on a letter as a side assignment that goes with the book.
ELA: almost finished with the poetry unit. Students should be starting to compile their books together and also be looking for a poem to recite next week.
MATH: Those students who are still struggling with angles, should make a point of seeing me for some one on one time. We are moving onto fractions, improper and mixed at this time.
SCIENCE: we are almost done our experiment portion of the air unit. Students should have submitted their videos in GC or on gmail, proving that air exists and has certain properties.
RELIGION: tomorrow marks Ash Wednesday. I make it a rule to not have candy in my classroom during this time of preparation for Jesus' death and resurrection. I ask that this is respected when it comes to snacks and lunches. Merci
