This week in Learning:
FLA; students should be up to date on vocabulary and summaries to chapter 3 by the end of this week. I am finding that when we go over the chapter to ensure comprehension, very few students have actually read. Your cooperation with this is greatly appreciated.
ELA: we will be wrapping up the research projects on Greek gods this week. A due date is coming soon.
MATH: we continue with decimals...adding and subtracting them. Tests on unit 2 are going home today to be signed and returned. Results are positive.
SOCIAL: tomorrow we debate. Students should make sure they are prepared.
SCIENCE: We continue with the sun, moon, earth, roation and revolution. Students should have up to 5 moon phases on their sheet.
Religion: we will work on the parts of the mass this week.
ART: sketchbooks on shapes are due next Tuesday December 3rd. We are working on optical illusions.
Coming up:
Telus SPARK this Thursday. We will leave first thing in the morning (8h50). Bring a lunch as we will be staying the day. Thank you to the following parents for helping out:
Maya's mom, Riley's dad, Emilie's mom, Calla's mom, Kayla's mom, and Rachael's mom.
Progress reports go home on Thursday and conference manager is then open for booking interviews.
Mme Amanda is looking for grade 6 students to help with the book fair. If your child is interested, he/she will speak to Mme Amnada directly for more information
