LOCKDOWN practice on Monday

Science tests going home for signatures

Friday, November 19: We will share kind messages using post-it’s throughout the school. Students can write a kind word or note to a friend and place the post-it on their friends’ classroom door during the day.

Our book fair is now open for online purchases!  We have 12 books sold so far.  St. Luke’s receives approximately 20% of total sales in credits we can use to purchase new books and classroom resources.

This week in learning:

Math: going onto y and x axes and how to plot diagrammes on them. There are still a few students who need to see me with help for algebra. It is their responsibility to do so.

ES: current events calendar is up in the classroom and students are responsible for putting together a presentation on something that is happening in the news with the government...be it federal, provincial or municipal.

SCIENCE: we are moving onto our next  unit "Astronomy". I am correcting tests from our forensics unit last week. They will go home to be signed and returned later this week.

Religion: we are looking at how the mass brings us closer to God and students are working on a mass missal with the different parts of the mass.

FLA: continuing to work on GB+ reading comprehension, plus 2 more stations where students lsiten to spoken French and another where they read with me. All students from St Isadore have been tested for reading levels.

ELA: we are working on some basic grammar skills because I am flabergasted at how many students still do not use capitals at the beginning of sentences and periods at the end. We will also work on other punctuation.

MUSIQUE: students are presenting their research on their group or artist and the explanation of the lyrics of the song they chose.
