This week in Learning:
FLA: students are still working on crime scenes for a presentation. This is a lengthy assignment and time should not be wasted in class. Bring in boxes and materials to put together your diorama, if that's what you plan on doing.
ELA: continuing to read Vermeer and write news articles. To help students have a better grasp on the latter, they should be reading some news articles in the paper. Chapters 9 & 10 tonight. 2 paintings and paragraphs due Friday sent to me via gmail.
SCIENCE: today we looked at fabrics, weave and solubility and stretchiness. Tomorrow we will look at images of different fabrics under a microscope. The last part of our unit is soil testing. After that there will be a test on October 29th. Start studying now.
MATH: Mme Reimer began the unit on patterns. We will delve further and also look at algebra or unknown factors in an equation. Here is a video you can watch for further explanation.

SOCIAL: we begin chapter 2, which is democracy in action. How can we as citizens change the world...or at least our community. Students should have a look at the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to see how all decisions in law are made.

RELIGION: What is Sabbath; What is reason vs faith
ART: Vermeer one point perspective rough copy work on...
Sketchbooks are due October 30th
