I hope everyone had a relaxing break and you are all ready to get down to business and learn some more. Thank you to all parents who sent a Christmas gift before the holidays. I sent a thnak you card home, but you may or may not get it! I felt appreciated to say the least.
INDOOR shoes and SCHOOL supplies need to be brought in.
This week of learning:
MATH: test on fractions, decimals % and ratios is this Friday. tomorrow we begin statistics, probabilities and graphs.
ES: we began the unit on Haudenosaunee today. Students should have a good idea of the Great Law of Peace, enough to retell it to others. Last unit's tests will go home Wednesday for signature.
SCI: We will begin air this week. Several experiments will be done in class and students are responsible for having a booklet of all the experiments done, using the experimental process for each. Organization is key. Tests on astronomy will go home this week, 2 still to write
FLA: I was going to begin Hockey lecture but decided to do some poetry first as there will be something coming up in Feb to do with that. Students should pay close attention to their homophones for spelling. Quiz on homophones next Tuesday
ELA: we will do a little reading comprehension to begin the year and then move onto a debate
Religion: Epiphany, it's meaning and significance. Quiz on Friday.
CTF: students will use the month to make their planet and activities to incite people to visit their planet.
