Hope everyone had a fun long weekend. I went to 2 inservices, one artsy and one on writing (how to improve vocabulary and description).
ELA: continuing poetry types to work our brains on vocabulary. At the end, the students will either put together a poetry booklet OR they can write new lyrics to an old song and present it to the class. Today we worked on a Cinquain. Quiz on Prefixes and Suffixes this Wednesday.
FLA: Hockey Lecture continues and the scores are close. By the end of the week, we will have the teams set for the semi-finals. Quiz on HOMOPHONES that we studied this coming Friday.
MATH: continuing on angles. How to draw them and how to measure them are the focus this week.
Social: Iroquois nations...what did it look like, how were they run. Tests on Ancient Greece have gone home and should be returned signed.
Religion: commandments # 3 and 4, 5 & 6
ART: Spirit animals using shape. Sketchbooks were due today on color.
MUSIC: continuing the analyzing of a French song. Last class for research is Wednesday.
