Welcome back and I hope you all had a restful break. We are in the final push to complete our learning and prepare for the PAT's.

This week in Learning:

MATH: we will be working on perimeter, area and volume and then this unit is over. Look for a unit test in the next 2 weeks.

ES: we continue with the provincial govt. I would like students to pay attention to campaign promises as we will be voting with several other students across Alberta. This week, how a law becomes a law and how to become a candidate for election

SCI: the test for the air and flight units will be next Tuesday the 25th. Students should be studying already. A guide will be placed on Google classroom but they have all the notes they need. We will begin Trees and forests soon, our last unit.

FLA: we will write a short story to help prepare for the May PAT's but the procedure is the same as the ELA one. We will finish Reader's theatre this week.

ELA: we begin reading the novel Shadows of Disaster, written by a local Calgary author. There will be chapters and comprehension questions assigned nightly.

Religion: symbols for Peter who denied Jesus, Death and resurrection. Notebooks are due this Wednesday

Music: finishing presentations for orchestra instruments
