Lenten Journey: Monday...no extensions. I will mark what you have done
Histoire francais: lundi. No extensions. WE have worked at least 3+ classes and the PAT's only give you a little over 2hours.

This week in Learning:
MATH: we are finishing the unit on measurements so there will be a test next week. I'm looking at Wednesday the 3rd.
FLA: we will begin and finish and our short stories this week; next up, a novel study.
ELA: we continue with Shadows of Disaster, novel
ES: the provincial govn't; we look at the cabinet and the roles of ministers.
Religion: we will finish the Lenten Journey poster and it is due next Monday
Music: we will hopefully finish the orchestra instrument presentations...barring anymore disruptions
This week: Pizza and spirit day:
Fun and funky hair day (this will likely be the last spirit day that we take pictures for the yearbook...it would be great to get 100% participation)
A little over 2 months left of school...time to buckle down and learn a lot!

Welcome back and I hope you all had a restful break. We are in the final push to complete our learning and prepare for the PAT's.
This week in Learning:
MATH: we will be working on perimeter, area and volume and then this unit is over. Look for a unit test in the next 2 weeks.
ES: we continue with the provincial govt. I would like students to pay attention to campaign promises as we will be voting with several other students across Alberta. This week, how a law becomes a law and how to become a candidate for election
SCI: the test for the air and flight units will be next Tuesday the 25th. Students should be studying already. A guide will be placed on Google classroom but they have all the notes they need. We will begin Trees and forests soon, our last unit.
FLA: we will write a short story to help prepare for the May PAT's but the procedure is the same as the ELA one. We will finish Reader's theatre this week.
ELA: we begin reading the novel Shadows of Disaster, written by a local Calgary author. There will be chapters and comprehension questions assigned nightly.
Religion: symbols for Peter who denied Jesus, Death and resurrection. Notebooks are due this Wednesday
Music: finishing presentations for orchestra instruments

We begin April in the Lenten season, therefore keep up your Lenten promises. I encourage students to wear purple this week, as it symbolizes our desire to give Jesus our best, since purple was the most expensive color to make.

ES: we finished municipal gov't today. We will begin Provincial this week.
