What happens when you work on progress reports until 5h30 every night after school, have 3 field trips and teach all day? You get sick...that's me. Hopefully it is a minor cold and not the crazy flu that others have endured.
PROGRESS REPORTS go home on FRIDAY March 16th
Thursday is Pizza and Theme day...
80's for us..."memories...🎶🎵🎵"
This week in Learning:
ELA: we are beginning a new novel study called "Shadows of Disaster" by Cathy Beveridge, a local author. There will be chapters and comprehension questions throughout this unit. Students should be paying close attention to figures of speech and how they can use them in their writing.
FLA: We are starting a Film study, called "Belle et Sebastien". It will focus on oral comprehension (listening to someone other than me speak in French) and also we will look at character descriptions and overall understanding of a storyline (les étapes du récit). We are also working on a poem for the Francophone days.
MATH: continuing on fractions and how to compare them, especially those with different denominators.
SOCIAL: TEST tomorrow March 14th on the Iroquois Confederacy.

A HUGE thank you to the parents and my hubby who volunteered for this worthwhile in-school field experience.
This week we look at Local government and what they do for us.
HEALTH: We are looking at how to study...(I should really re-think this and put it at the beginning of the year...oh well...next year). There will also be a test on this next week to see if students put the tips into practice.
RELIGION: Students are being the teachers and doing a lesson on "Giving". Lentopoly continues as does random acts of kindness.
MUSIC: we have just finished the French musician projects and next up we will begin a research on an instrument ( helpful for those thinking about taking BAND next year)and at the same time preparing our li sync song for after Easter.
