With warmer weather here and the classroom being warm, I would like all students to have a bottle of water on their desks to avoid line ups at the fountain and leaving class on a regular basis. Please send one with a secure lid to keep your child hydrated during the day.
It is also a good idea to be prepared for ANY type of weather; sweaters, small coats, hats and sunscreen.

Montre et raconte
Every morning we will have a show and tell so that the students can speak more in French. Here is an outline of students and weekly dates they will be presenting. It is all random. Students may bring in something to show and explain to their peers, a picture of a vacation to talk about, or if they like, they can read a book. The goal is to get the kids speaking more in front of their friends. Have fun.
The week of April 18th: Neomie, Hubert, Natalie, Zixu
The week of April 25th: Andrew, Owen, Reagan, Shane
The week of May 2nd: Curtis, Shanya, Neveah, Anna
The week of May 9th: Philo, Feranmi, Akin, Zoey, Ruhaan

Welcome Back to the final few weeks of school! How time has flown!
Please hand in the sheet of 2 stars and a wish for the final report, if you have not done so already.
In the month of April we will be working on a speech unit. All students will be required to memorize a speech and present it to the class. (We, the teachers, have already selected the text).Afterwards, some students will be chosen to present their speech to the school and may even be chosen to go to the Grand Gala for the city on May 28th at Bishop Grandin High School. This is something that has been asked of us from the French department in order to showcase the students' oral skills. It is also good practice for students to speak in French, and to work on public speaking, which is a lifelong ability. As parents, you can help your child by having them repeat the sentences every night; once looking at the sheet and then not. Presentation finesse will be something that we will work on later in the month.
